Hinds offers something for everyone.
Located on the Canterbury Plains on the south bank of the Hinds River, Hinds is a typical rural village servicing the surrounding area, with a primary school and play centre, village shop, two churches, tavern, community centre, domain to cater for sports and recreation, and swimming baths.
Things to do in Hinds
Hinds is a hive of agricultural activity, so there's not a huge amount to see, however, you must stop at Hinds Classics at the Gas Station on the Main road and take a look at all the old classic cars that are in various states of work, it's fascinating.
Just north of the gas station on the corner of Isleworth Road and State highway one, there is a beautiful status of deer, symbolising the deer industry in the area. Find out more here
