About
The creation of Trott’s Garden has been a journey of dedication and imagination, as over the years it has been transformed from a bare paddock, into the extraordinary contemporary garden it is today.
Come and wander around our award winning gardens – there are many spots to enjoy. The garden is accessible to prams and wheelchairs in most areas. Small dogs only are welcome (must be on a lead). Toilet facilities are available.
Self or Guided Tours are available upon request for groups of 10 or more, and we can provide your group with Morning or Afternoon Tea, or Lunch if required.
Bookings are essential and must be booked and paid prior to arrival.
Wedding Ceremonies
Brantwood Weddings and Events at Trott’s Garden offers a stunning venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions – all year round. Combining picturesque garden landscapes, with our amazing marquee, “The Brantwood Belvedere”, you can spend your whole day in our paradise.
Have your ceremony in the newly renovated, and gorgeous “Brantwood Chapel”, or in the beautiful garden amongst the flowers and trees. The choice is yours.
Striking panoramas provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos, whilst your guests enjoy wandering the gardens and soaking up the surroundings.
Smaller receptions can be held and catered for in the Brantwood Chapel (for up to 50 people), catered for from our new commercial kitchen, with larger receptions held in the Brantwood Belvedere (for up to 120 people). We can accommodate small intimate celebrations or large lavish occasions.
Celebrations of Life
What a beautiful setting to celebrate the passing of a loved one. The Brantwood Chapel will make this a special and memorable occasion. The Brantwood Belvedere can accommodate your Wake, for family and friends to continue to pay their respects. Catering available.
The Brantwood Arms
After your stroll around the gardens why not enjoy a drink in our unique and authentic English “Little Pub” – The Brantwood Arms, open during garden hours.
Serving cold beer, wines and spirits.
Also available from 10am are Devonshire teas or homemade sausage rolls for morning tea.
English Breakfast, Earl Grey or Green Tea – Mackenzie Plunger Coffee
Why not have some lunch: homemade pies or quiche, salad of the day, or even a traditional bacon buttie.
Please note: It is free to come and enjoy some time in the pub, however those wishing to walk the gardens will need to purchase the $10pp entry ticket

Getting here
If coming from Ashburton – Travel 3.7km from State Highway 1 to 371 Racecourse Road, Trott’s Garden will be on your left. If coming from Methven – Follow State Highway 77 towards Ashburton, turning left onto Racecourse Road after 28km. Once on Racecourse Road, travel another 1 km. Trott’s Garden will be on your right.
