You will find us only 40 minutes drive South of Christchurch, 20 minutes to Ashburton and 35 minutes to the Mt Hutt Ski area. In only 30 minutes you can drive to 5 beautiful and challenging golf courses. There are also a number of interesting nature walks in the area.
If it's fishing you are after - there are Salmon and trout in the river and Kawhai, Cod and other sea fishing only 10 minutes drive away. Our central location is an ideal base from which to explore the wonderful and varied Ashburton District, and our friendly relaxed environment assures you of a restful holiday in our sheltered riverside location.

Getting here
Travelling South on State Highway 1 (SH1) cross the Rakaia Bridge (The longest bridge inn the Southern Hemisphere) turn left immediately on exiting the bridge before the 70km sign. If you are travelling North, drive to the North end of the Rakaia Township on State highway 1 and turn right prior to the Rakaia Bridge. (take care turning into the drive - be aware of on coming vehilces)
