Adventurer Opuke Rakaia Gorge

25 Minute Trip

Adventurer Opuke flight allows passengers to fly up over Mount Hutt and its ski field, where skiers or boarders can check out the snow conditions and runs. It is ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing flight in the area while capturing some great photos and memories. Views include spectacular vistas of the Canterbury Plains, the Rakaia Gorge, and the snow-capped Southern Alps.

Explorer Opuke High Country

1 Hour Trip

Come join us on a flight through Mid-Canterbury's high country up and over the Rakaia Gorge and Lake Coleridge areas. Fly over the lake and its 1914 built power station, then land for scenic views on a high-country station hilltop. Overlook Lake Coleridge, the mighty braided Rakaia River Valley, with the snow-capped Southern Alps in the backdrop. On the way back to Methven, fly via Mount Hutt and the ski field with panoramic views of the Canterbury Plains.

Expedition Opuke Alpine Lakes & Glaciers

Fly over alpine lakes and high country stations, then on to see New Zealand’s most Northern Glaciers. This trip includes a landing and some refreshments beside a glacier lake. Try your game spotting skills and look for Himalayan Tahr, Chamois, and Red Deer in their rugged natural environment.
