Our location gives us the ability to mix all nations together, with a separated café from the retail area and a relaxed friendly environment set in a rural location approximately 1.5 hrs South from your Christchurch hotel, which is perfect timing for toilets and a refreshment stop.
At present, we are a retail and restaurant complex located 10 minutes away from Ashburton town. We provide a one-stop-shop for a large collection of premium New Zealand products and speciality souvenir items. We offer refreshments and meals for international inbound tourists and locals.
Our complex is spacious and situated in a tranquil atmosphere with a scenic ambience of the farmland and Southern Alps. Our domesticated Alpacas on our farm are a typical attraction to tourists wherein a close encounter with nut feeding and up-close photos with these gentle animals is definitely an unforgettable moment to their visit.

After nearly 25 years in this industry, we have built good relationships with some of New Zealand's top suppliers of quality products including KiwiCorp Products, Snowy Peak, Lyle and Scott, and Halifax, just to name a few. We carry a substantial range of duvets, underlays, woollen clothing, sheepskins, alpaca products, health food, skincare and of course plenty of NZ souvenirs. Our products represent value for money to the customers. We offer great packaging services to customers that are hassle-free when travelling back home.
Highway One Restaurant
We are situated on the corner of Long Beach Road and State Highway 1, overlooking quiet country surroundings. We are proud to be one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the Ashburton district, our longevity testament to consistently good value and the highest possible standards - only the best will do.

We provide easy access and parking for approximately 15 coaches and 37 car parks including 2 special parking, especially for the disabled. Our front entrance is designed with undercover roofing for drop-off and pick-up points for coaches ensuring customers are kept dry during wet days

We understand the needs of visitors and the quality of service they deserve and that is why we have included top-quality toilet facilities in our new building. We boast of our spacious toilets including a special toilet for the disabled. These toilets are clean and modern for the comfort of all visitors.

Getting here
We are located on the corner of State Highway 1 and Longbeach Road in Tinwald. Tinwald is a suburb south of Ashburton. From the North travel through the Ashburton township, after crossing the Ashburton River you will arrive in Tinwald, continue to travel South for approximately 5.3 km (5 Mins) and you will see our complex on the left side on the road, turn left into Longbeach Road, then right into our driveway.
