The Ashburton Fire Brigade has a long history and have created a fabulous museum to showcase their success. A significant heritage collection of equipment and memorabilia of the Brigade. There is plenty to see and do, you can even take a ride on a vintage fire truck. It's worth the visit even if you don't like fire trucks.

We are in the Tinwald Domain, on Maronan Road just off State Highway 1 in Tinwald at The Plains Museum precint, look for big sign with an image a steam train and a vintage tractor on it as you drive along.
